EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful therapeutic approach that helps people process and heal from traumatic experiences and other distressing life events. During an EMDR session, I guide you through a series of eye movements, taps, or sounds while we focus on a specific memory. This process enables the brain to reprocess the memory in a healthier, less distressing way, allowing you to move forward with reduced emotional burden. EMDR has been shown to be effective for treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health challenges.
My approach to EMDR is through a somatic and attachment-focused lens. I decided to get trained in EMDR after years of seeing clients make incredible progress in therapy yet still feel “stuck” in certain areas. They had learned skills and gained insights, but deeper issues tied to trauma, attachment wounds, and negative experiences lingered. Much of this “stuckness” lives within our bodies, beyond the reach of talk therapy alone. EMDR helps release this by directly addressing those stored experiences, helping you achieve a new level of self-understanding and healing.

EMDR Intensives
For clients with specific goals who want to deepen their healing process, I also offer EMDR Intensives. These extended sessions go beyond the traditional 50-minute timeframe, providing more space for in-depth processing and allowing us to cover more ground in a single session. EMDR Intensives are ideal for individuals looking to supplement ongoing therapy with focused EMDR work, creating a path toward lasting change in a shorter time.
